Our Ear Candles are of uniform size and hold their structural integrity.  In addition, our special manufacturing process enables us to create a quality ear candle with as little wax as possible. *While other ear candle makers produce soft or non-uniform ear candles that are heavily coated or are double dipped in wax.

For those who would like to mix herbal scents - this option is available for orders of 100 ear candles or more.  You may request different herbal scents in combinations of no less than 50 ear candles. Example: If you order 200 ear candles, this order can be divided into (4) four different herbal options of 50 each. The minimum amount for mixing orders is 50 ear candles, no less. We can not divide orders in smaller amounts. Example: You can not order a 50 pack and want the order split 10, 20,& 20 of different scents. Indicate in the comments section of the order page in the shopping cart how you wish to have your order formulated.

Order Ear Candles from the Maker

Our ear candles are hand crafted using a special process formulated by a popular ear candle manufacturer, “TC Naturals”.  The makers at AJ’s Candles have improved upon this process to include optimum formulations and manufacturing techniques to produce a more pleasurable ear candling experience.  Each and every ear candle is inspected for proper structural integrity and dimensions.

Professional Grade Ear Candles


The original modern ear candle was developed in Germany and Italy but in some form or another has roots in numerous cultures throughout the world. To improve on a great home remedy that has been passed down through the centuries; we at AJS Candles have developed a great ear candle based upon those that have been most effective. With a few modifications, specialized wax blends and crafting techniques we believe that we have developed a product that is efficient and effective.

The process that goes into developing our ear candles is a closely held secret.  All of our ear candles provide a smooth burning action which bestows a relaxing warmth - calming your senses.  Our ear candles are carefully handcrafted utilizing a high pressured wax infused method. Each are wrapped using medium weight unbleached muslin producing an air tight seam that results in a cleaner burning ear candle with little residue.  

Try our New Blend - We are now offering ear candles made with a “Soy Wax” formulation.  The producer of “Soy Wax” claims that it will leave less residue and burns much cleaner than paraffin.  The “Soy Wax” ear candles are manufactured using the same secret method as our paraffin ear candles. The soy wax blend creates an all natural or organic product. If you have been using our paraffin/blend ear candles we recommend that you stay with them because the difference between soy and paraffin blend ear candles are notable. Soy blends perform differently and may not give you the results that you are use to. They have a less intense burn and are not as consistent performers. The soy blend ear candles are a natural product which inherently are inconsistent as compared to the paraffin blend.

 

Our ear candles are uniquely made with beeswax highly concentrated with propolis harvested from colonies used to pollinate blueberry plantations.  As you know blueberries contain the highest levels of antioxidants that are known to fight a variety of health issues and diseases.
 

Advanced Ear Candling Tips

  • Always keep the flame centered over the top opening.

  • Have an assistant to help with the procedure.

  • While in position have your assistant set a flame to the large end of the ear candle. Never do this yourself.  During the burn procedure make sure that no smoke escapes from around the tapered end.  You must adjust the candle position in order to stop this from happening.  Although not recommended the tapered end can be trimmed to fit.  If this doesn’t work, put out the flame with a cup of water and start over with a new ear candle. The failure to get this done correctly is the number one reason for which ear candles perform poorly.

  • With scissors and a cup of water trim the ash stack when about ½ of the ear candle has burned. Before clipping dip the scissors in the cup of water. This will cause the ash to stick to the shears and not “fly-away”.

  • For best results have your assistant clip the ash top at the mid-way point while at the same time clear the tapered end with a toothpick.

  • Allow the ear candle to burn to about 3 to 4 inches from the ear (no further than 2 inches!).  At this point your assistant is to remove the ear candle from your ear and extinguish the flame in the cup of water. Do not try to blow out the flame.  Then use a cotton Q-tip to clean the outer ear lobe and canal.  You may use rubbing alcohol or an oil (ear oil) to assist in the cleaning of the ear.

  • Repeat this procedure again with a second ear candle.

  • Ear candles should be stored in a cool dry place. It is possible to store in a freezer, but never the refrigerator.  If the ear candles are exposed to excessive heat it will void the warranty and performance of the candle. In this case, do not use the ear candles.  If exposed to heat the ear candle will have an altered appearance and have a soft texture.  Also, heat exposure can cause the pressurized wax layer on the outside of the candle to migrate to the inside of the candle.

This is not a complete set of instructions, they are tips or advanced instructions that can enhance your ear candling experience.
